RAW SUGAR
After handling of food grains this was the
first time raw sugar was exported through
Mormugao port.
Raw Sugar arrived at Goa Port by rail and
road from the sugar mills and we handled
the same by clearing the wagons and
moving the cargo by trucks to the port.
This was stacked in the godowns and de-
bagged and bulked, and then loaded into
the vessel at Berth.
The exporters preferred Goa Port as this
was the nearest port from the sugar mills of
karnataka and Maharashtra and cost
efficient.
